You'll kayak downstream, challenging you and your buddy to skillfully paddle through a variety of spectacular class 2 rapids and beautiful river pools. The currents begin to fade as you pass beneath the old stone bridge, and your kayak takes a peaceful trip into the Caribbean Sea. Once at sea, you paddle around the coast at your own pace until you reach a secluded beach for a refreshing drink and some downtime.
Calm and quiet, the resplendent backdrop is an ideal way to soak in Jamaica’s best natural attractions.
Kayaking is a fun and adaptable sport that may be practised by youngsters as young as five years old in Jamaica. The optimum time to go out on the sea is early in the morning, before the trade winds blow in and cause resistance, increasing the amount of effort required to keep moving through the water.

Description
From Ochos Rios, the White River is the starting point for white water kayaking experiences. Kayakers embark on an amazing voyage to the Old Spanish Bridge, one of the first bridges built by European settlers in Jamaica in the 17th century. On the way, the beauty is unending, with clear pools and white rapids set against a backdrop of tropical jungle foliage and vast bamboo groves. The excursion concludes in the Bamboo Cathedral, a spectacular natural feature, after passing the secret Arawak Gazebo and travelling through scenic lagoons. Each of Ocho Rios' three main beaches—Turtle, Mallard, and Dunn's River Beaches—offers kayak rentals and is a fantastic place to do sea kayaking. The Caribbean waters are often warm and tranquil, making them ideal for a leisurely cruise down the coast.
