Description
Your trip begins in "Rafter's Village," a fully equipped recreational facility with a bar and souvenir stores that located on a natural horseshoe island. Guests can stop at "Miss Martha's Herb Garden" before the tour to see a display of Jamaican herbs known for their medicinal and healing capabilities.
Rafting on the Martha Brae was founded in 1970 and now employs 85 licenced and experienced raft captains. Under the supervision of a licenced dispatcher, guests board 30-foot bamboo rafts. A three-mile stretch of the lovely Martha Brae river is used for the raft ride, which lasts around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Learn about "The Legend of the Martha Brae" as you float down the river and even try your hand at poling the raft.
