Green Grotto Caves are located 2 miles east of Discovery Bay and 2.5 miles west of Runaway Bay, off the main coastal road. The easiest method to get there is by vehicle, however because parking is restricted, a bus or taxi ride is an option. A visit to the caves is included in several island trips. Walking on rough surfaces necessitates the use of appropriate footwear. The caves are accessible on a daily basis.

Description
A trip into the underworld's enchantment; a speologist's dream, a strange and thrilling green cavern, a piece of Jamaican history! The relatively undiscovered Green Grotto Caves, a maze of magical underground caves bordered by lush flora and supplied with fresh water cascading from its secret depths, has been deemed "part of your holiday with a difference." The Green Grotto Caverns provided such peace and quiet that its long history can be traced back to many different groups of people, including the caves' first residents, the Arawak Indians (Tainos), who used them for various purposes. This is evidenced by the various bits of pottery and artefacts that are discovered from time to time.
The main feature of this natural attraction is a massive labyrinthine limestone cave with distinctive rock formations, stalactites, stalagmites, and a plethora of overhead ceiling pockets, as well as bats.
The Green Grotto is 1,525 metres long and 12 metres deep, with multiple chambers and light openings as well as the Grotto Lake, an underwater lake.
